MDRC was founded in 1948 and has the club callsign, VK3APC. The club rooms reside at Turner Road in Highett with regular meetings which include Educational Sessions and weekly Coffee Group discussions.
When the club rooms are open, so is the VK3APC shack! Members and visitors are welcome to come down to the club rooms and operate HF, VHF or UHF. All of the club repeaters under VK3RMC repeaters can be accessed from the Club Rooms. Operate and make contacts on D-Star and IRLP.
The MDRC has a number of Repeaters located in Narre Warren with the operating callsign VK3RMC. The VK3RMC Repeater systems operate D-Star, analogue and FDMA/DRM digital on UHF & VHF. The club also plans to operate a P25 repeater from the same location in the near future.
- There are regular club meetings each and every Tuesday known as the “Tuesday Morning Group”.
- Regular Information Educational Sessions and Presentations are on the second (2nd) Friday of each month.
- Regular Saturday Morning Chit Chat Sessions, the fourth (4th) Saturday of each month.
